CAREER BY DESIGN A 12 MONTH COACHING PROGRAMME
Promotion isn't a reward for working harder. It's the result of becoming someone impossible to overlook.
Career Coaching for professionals who are done leaving their growth to chance — and ready to build what comes next. By design.
You're good at your job. Really good. People come to you when things are broken, when deadlines are impossible, when nobody else can figure it out. You deliver, every time. And yet somehow, the promotion conversation never quite lands the way it should.

A few things I want you to know.
Before we go further
Promotion isn't just about doing more. It's about becoming someone who is seen, trusted, and sought out as a strategic voice.
1
You can do this without burning yourself out again. The way you got here before doesn't have to be the only way forward.
3
That becoming doesn't happen in 90 days. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something that won't stick.

You’ve been here before. Quietly hoping it gets easier.
FOREVER THE FIXER
You're the person everyone calls when it needs fixing. Which means you're always fixing, and never quite leading.
VISBILITY FEELS STRANGE
You're not sure how to talk about what you want at work without feeling like you're being too much or too demanding.
OVERLOOKED FOR OPPORTUNITIES
You feel undervalued — not because you're invisible, but because people see what you do without seeing how you think.
LUCK VS STRATEGY
Past promotions have felt like flukes — things that happened to you rather than things you made happen.
UNSUSTAINABLE GROWTH
You're setting goals and hitting them. But at a cost that isn't sustainable and you know it.
The gap between where you are and where you want to be isn't a skills gap. It's a strategy gap, a visibility gap, and a confidence-to-ask-for-what-you-want gap. Those are all closable. That's exactly what this programme is designed to do.
INTRODUCING
Career
This isn't a course you consume and forget. It's a structured, supported year of becoming: the kind of professional who gets promoted not because they worked harder, but because they developed the self-awareness, strategy, and confidence to make their promotion inevitable. You walk away with a promotion, a clear plan to get one, or something equally valuable — complete clarity on whether your current environment can actually give you what you want.
A deep understanding of where you are, who you are and what you actually want.
A clear, personalised promotion strategy built around your specific context and environment.
The self-advocacy skills to communicate your value and ask for what you deserve.
A work philosophy that makes your approach to your career sustainable
Quarterly Reviews of your CV, Linkedin and progress that are done with you, not left to-you.
Six Phases. One Transformation.
Each phase builds on the last, we move through them at a pace that works for your life.
Phase 1
WHERE YOU ARE
Before we build a strategy, we need an honest baseline. This phase is a structured self-awareness checkpoint so we understand where you actually need to grow
WHO YOU ARE
What does it look like to show up as yourself at work? This phase explores your authentic self in a professional context — what you bring, how you lead, and what you've been leaving at the door that probably belongs in the room.
Phase 2
Phase 3
WHAT YOU WANT
Vague goals produce vague results. This phase is about getting brutally specific — what does growth actually look like for you, in a way that's true to who you are and real about where you want to go?
Phase 4
THE PROGRAMME
ASSESS THE SITUATION
Not every environment rewards the right things. This phase is about reading your context clearly — the unwritten rules, the decision-makers, the promotion rubric (written or not) — so your strategy is built on reality, not hope.
Phase 5
Phase 6
CONFIDENCE TO MOVE
This is where the internal work meets the external world. Self-advocacy, negotiation, difficult conversations, asking for what you want without shrinking or overclaiming. The skills most people never explicitly learn.
YOUR STRATEGY
Everything comes together here. You build your own work philosophy — a living document that captures your values, your approach, what you've learned about yourself and your environment, and the experiments you're running. This is the thing that makes everything else stick.

QUARTERLY REVIEWS
Every three months: a done-for-you review of your CV, LinkedIn, and progress, followed by a one-hour call and a written summary. Reflection and action, together.
WHY 12 MONTHS?
Because becoming takes longer than doing.
A year is not a long time to change the trajectory of your career. It's the minimum honest commitment for the kind of shift we're talking about. You're not just learning new tactics — you're changing how you see yourself at work, how you communicate your value, and how you make decisions about your career. That takes repetition, reflection, and real application over time. The programme is flexible enough to fit into your life, but deep enough to actually move things. That's the point.
Hi, I’m
I’m also in a career, working towards getting promoted.
I say that because I think it matters. I'm not coaching you from outside something I've never experienced. I'm a coach and strategist who is navigating the same professional world you are — figuring out how to grow, how to be seen, and how to ask for more without losing myself in the process.
I've been promoted predictably, more than once, and I've helped clients do the same across industries. What I've learned is that the promotion conversation is almost never about your output. It's about your identity, your strategy, and your ability to advocate for yourself with clarity and confidence.
That's what I built this programme to teach. Not as theory, but as practice — embedded in your actual career, with me alongside you for a full year.

Let’s be honest about who this is, and isn’t for.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF…
You're an employed professional (a side hustle alongside is fine).
You've been hitting your goals, but the cost is too high and the progression isn't following.
You feel undervalued and seen for what you do but not how you think.
You're willing to invest in a year-long process, because you understand real change isn't a sprint.
THIS ISN’T FOR YOU IF…
You're a full-time entrepreneur.
You're looking for a result in the next 90 days without patience for a longer commitment.
You want a guarantee of promotion regardless of your environment or effort.
You're not yet ready to look honestly at your own role in where you are.
Here’s what becomes possible.
You’ll know exactly how to build your case, have the conversation, and make yourself the obvious choice. No more being overlooked.
You’ll have a positioning strategy that actually feels like you, and people will start coming to you without you having to shout about it.
You’ll have a clear execution strategy, know how to manage the people around it, and actually deliver without running yourself into the ground.
You’ll reconnect with what makes you excellent, trust your own judgment again, and stop apologising for taking up space.
FAQ’s
-
Yes — as long as there is a rubric for promotion in your organisation, this works. Promotion frameworks across industries tend to follow the same underlying logic. If your organisation doesn't have a clear rubric, that's something we'll address together: either we'll find one, build one from what we can access, or we'll have an honest conversation about whether this is the right environment for your growth.
-
This is the most common concern and it's a fair one. The programme is designed around your real life — fortnightly calls rather than weekly, async Voxer support so you don't need to clear your calendar, and course content you work through at your own pace. It's designed to go with you rather than add to the pile.
-
No, and anyone who guarantees that is being dishonest. What I can tell you is this: by the end of the programme, you will either have received a promotion, have a clear and credible plan to get one, or have complete clarity on whether your current environment is actually capable of giving you the progression you want. All three outcomes are genuinely useful. For some people, the third is the most valuable of all.
-
Standard coaching is typically reactive you come with a problem, you work through it. Although we have that here through our calls and Voxer support, Career by Design has a structure, a curriculum, and a clear direction of travel. You get the personal attention of coaching (via your private Voxer channel and the quarterly reviews) alongside the depth of a structured programme, plus a community of people navigating the same thing. It's coaching with a roadmap.

Yes — the Career Audit is a 90-minute one-to-one where we cut through the noise and build a clear 90-day action plan. A lot of people do the audit before joining Career by Design. It's a good way to get clear on what you want before you commit to the longer work.
You’re not at the beginning of your career.
You’ve got the experience, the track record, and a fairly clear sense of what you’re capable of. But something’s off — and you know it.
Whatever it is, you’re not here to start over. You’re here to get clearer, get intentional, and get moving — in the right direction this time.
If you want to make progress on your career goals now - and build the leadership identity and goal setting systems that create lasting career growth for years to come, you're in the right place.
